Largest IPO Ever: Agricultural Bank of China

Share

The Agricultural Bank of China is testing the markets with its initial public offering.

If the IPO hits the high end of its range, it could be well over $23 billion. This would shatter all records and be the biggest IPO in history.

The Agricultural Bank of China is the last of the four state-owned bank to go public. It is also the one with the most perceived social responsibility, catering to farmers and rural areas.

This IPO will be one to watch, as it is a litmus test for investor confidence, especially confidence in continued growth in China.

The 10 largest IPOs in 2010 have come from China, India, Russia, Poland, and Spain. None have come from the United States.
