Amylin Pharmaceuticals Inc (NASDAQ: AMLN) soared 9.33% to $18.05 in the pre-market session. AMLN announced today that it will be presenting data for two of its FDA-approved diabetes drugs and for its investigational diabetes treatment at the 70th Annual Scientific Sessions of the American Diabetes Association (ADA).
Randgold Resources Ltd (NASDAQ: GOLD) added 0.47% to $94.14 in pre-market trading. Yesterday, shares of GOLD traded near a new 52-week high of $93.76.
Apple Inc (NASDAQ: AAPL) moved up 0.42% to $273 in pre-market trading. Analysts at Kaufman Brothers upped their target price for AAPL today, from $320 to $340, while maintaining their “buy” rating on the stock.
PowerShares QQQ Trust, Series 1 (NASDAQ: QQQQ) gained 0.08% to $47 in the pre-market session. The ETF tracks the performance of the Nasdaq 100. Its largest component AAPL achieved a new 52-week high of $272.90 yesterday.
