Google Planning to Buy Tech Startup (GOOG)
Google (NASDAQ: GOOG) is in talks to buy an advertising technology startup called Invite Media. The deal is expected to be in the $70 million range. Google refused to confirm the rumors and said, “Although we’re always talking to various companies about a variety of things, we don’t comment on rumor or speculation.”
According to TechCrunch, Invite Media is based out of New York City and was founded in April, 2007. The company builds and operates a “universal buying platform”. This platform helps buyers to optimize their online campaigns. The platform also supports real-time bidding and self-service integrations. Invite Media had raised its seed money from various investors, including First Round Capital.
