Microsoft CEO Plays Defensive

Microsoft Corp. (NASDAQ: MSFT) Chief Executive Officer Steve Ballmer has said that his company is looking to launch new products. Microsoft is also planning to improve profitability. Speaking at a press conference, he said, “We are executing very well, that's going to lead to great products and great success.”

According to the Wall Street Journal, since Steve Ballmer’s appointment as Chief Executive Officer, Microsoft’s market cap has decreased from $556 billion to $219 billion, whereas Apple’s (NASDAQ: AAPL) has increased its to $221 billion from $15.6 billion over the same period. Ballmer further added, “I will make more profits and certainly there is no technology company in the planet which is as profitable as we are.”
