INFA Signs Partnership Deal With EMC on Database Archiving and Master Data Management Solutions
Informatica Corporation (NASDAQ: INFA) had signed a partnership deal with EMC Corporation (NYSE: EMC) on Wednesday to include its Information Lifecycle Technology Management (ILM) and Master Data Management (MDM) solutions with EMC ® Select.
According to the analysts, “Under the new partnership, EMC will resell INFA's ILM and MDM products. EMC believes that by coupling INFA's solutions with its own products its customers can lower costs while increasing performance of all application data (structured and unstructured). We note that EMC plans to offer INFA's solutions for both on-premise and on-demand deployments.” The companies have, however, not disclosed the agreement’s financial terms, Oppenheimer says.
