Euro Falls Against The Dollar And Japanese Yen (ULE)

The euro fell against the U.S. dollar and Japanese yen in trading today as Greece’s debt problems continued to weigh in on the sixteen nation currency. The euro was down by 1% to 1.3520 against the U.S. dollar, while it was down by more than 1% to 125.84 against the Japanese yen. On Wednesday, the ProShares Ultra Euro (ETF) (NYSE: ULE) closed 1.11% higher at $27.28 in trading.
The euro’s slide today came on the back of increasing concerns over Greece as the cost of insuring five year Greek debt soared to 455 basis points. The spread on Greek and German bonds also increased to 406 basis points.
