Dow Looks to Close Above 13,000

Nearing the end of Monday's trading session, the Dow Jones Industrial Average has notched a gain of 25 points to 13,008. Heading into the close, the Dow is looking to notch its first finish above 13,000 despite flirting with that level a number of times. The S&P 500 has added better than 4 points to 1,370 while the Nasdaq is up 9 points, or 0.31%, to just below 2,973. Crude oil has pulled back moderately on the session. At last check, NYMEX crude futures had lost 2% to $107.57. Gold is also lower on the day, falling 0.38% to $1,767.80. Despite a moderately higher stock market, Treasuries have rallied on the day. had climbed 0.98% to $118.65. The U.S. Dollar has also gained during the session. The PowerShares DB US Dollar Index Bullish ETF

, which tracks the performance of the greenback versus a basket of foreign currencies, had added 0.28% to $21.87. ICE Dollar Index futures were 0.22% higher to $78.57.
