ProShares May List Managed Futures ETF

ProShares, the largest U.S. issuer of leveraged ETFs, has filed plans with the securities and exchange commission to list the ProShares Managed Futures Strategy ETF, which would track the S&P Dynamic Futures Index. An expense ratio and ticker for the new ETF were not included in the filing. The index is designed to track long-term price movements in commodities, currencies and interest rates. The index offers transparent, rules-based exposure to momentum, both long and short, across a diversified portfolio of 24 highly liquid, global commodity and financial futures contracts, grouped into 14 sectors, according to ETF Daily News. The ProShares offering could compete directly with the WisdomTree Managed Futures ETF

. That fund debuted in January and has since accumulated more than $259 million in assets under management. ProShares had 126 ETFs with a combined $24.4 billion in AUM at the end of November, according to data from the National Stock Exchange.
