Trading Nadex Into The News: CAD Wholesale Sales on October 20, 2014

Every month Canada releases the report of wholesale sales. This report measures the change in the total value of sales at the wholesale level. It is an indicator for you as a trader as to how the consumers in Canada are spending their money. If the reading is higher than average, that should be looked upon as positive or bullish for the CAD. If it is lower, then it is viewed as negative or bearish. Keep this in mind when trading Forex pairs.

This report is being released Monday morning, October 20, 2014 at 8:30 AM. The forecast for this news release is -0.3 percent. The instrument of choice would be the USD/CAD entering as early as 8:00 AM with an expiration of 10:00 AM. A good strategy to use to trade into this news item would be an iron condor using a Nadex Spread. An iron condor is where you sell the upper spread and buy the lower spread. Ideally, you want the market to be as close to the center of the two spreads as possible; that is to say at the ceiling of the upper and the floor of the lower spreads. The minimum profit to look for would be $30.
