VeriChip Enters Into Partnership With The Diabetes Research Institute (CHIP)

Today, Verichip (NASDAQ: CHIP) announce that they will be collaborating in Cure Focused Research, the Diabetes Research Institute. They hope to collaborate together in producing a Glucose Sensing Radio Frequency Microchip that can sense glucose levels in someone’s blood. VeriChip is currently partnered with research company, RECEPTORS, for the development of this new product.

This chip is used in order to provide both the patient and doctor with easy to access information through VeriChip’s interoperable personal health record named Health Link.

In addition to creating the Microchip, VeriChip and DRI will also be conducting the unbiased, randomized clinical study to determine the effectiveness of the new microchip.
