IDC Predictions For 2010: Apple (AAPL) To Launch iPad, IBM (IBM) To Acquire Juniper (JNPR)

IDC is set to release its IT industry predictions for 2010. It expects Apple Inc. (NASDAQ: AAPL) to launch iPad and IBM (NYSE: IBM) to return into computer network business by acquiring Juniper Networks, Inc. (NYSE: JNPR).

IBM’s acquisition is expected after Hewlett-Packard Company (NYSE: HPQ) acquired 3Com Corporation (NASDAQ: COMS) and Cisco's (NASDAQ: CSCO) partnership with IBM. Also, IDC expects 50,000 to 70,000 applications to be launched for Google (NASDAQ: GOOG) Android, up from 10,000.
