Allergen Increase Profit With Increased Sales Of BOTOX (AGN)

Allergen Inc. (NYSE: AGN) announced increase profits with the help of increase sales from anti wrinkle drug, Botox. Their earnings also increased, reaching $179 million compared to $168 million the previous year. According to Allergen, global sales increased to $1.13 billion, beating analyst expectation of $1.08 billion.

Allergen forecasts earning for the full year of 2009 at $2.75 to $2.78, believing they will be in line with or beat WallStreet expectations of $2.75 a share. Furthermore, they see their sales for the whole year growing to $4.35 billion to $4.4 billion, beating out expectation of $4.32 billion.

Shares went up to $54.96 in early trading, for a rise of over 1.3% from previous close.
