Sprint Nextel (NYSE: S), which is recently trading down -0.10 today at $3.26, is seeing pressure on implied volatility in the stock's options. This is indicating an easing of price movement on the stock.
Sprint's call option volume of 72,422 contracts compares to put volume of 121,009 contracts. Track Data indicates that the March put option implied volatility is at 63, May is at 61; verses its 26-week average of 71. This could mean that trading will be slower in Sprint Nextel's stock going forward.
