Benzinga’s Top Gainers (RTK, INCY, HEV, QADI, JDSU)

Rentech, Inc. (AMEX: RTK) soared 36% to $1.70 on 24 million shares after hearing reports from AdelaideNow that SYNGAS has teamed up with the company and General Electric to progress South Australia's $3 billion coal-biomass-to-diesel Clinton project. So far this year, RTK is up over 140%.

Incyte Corporation (NASDAQ: INCY) jumped 9.33% to $8.44 after Incyte announced that it has entered into a collaboration and license agreement with Novartis AG (NYSE: NVS) for two of its investigational hematology-oncology therapies. As a result, Novartis will pay Incyte up to $1.1 billion for the deal, which involves the development of therapies that treat myelofibrosis and multiple cancers, are met.

Ener1, Inc. (NASDAQ: HEV) climbed 12% to $6.07 on 1.06 million shares on the news that EnerDel, part of Ener1, will enter the utility-scale energy storage market, supplying batteries for a major new smart grid program announced yesterday by the US Department of Energy.

QAD Inc. (NASDAQ: QADI) soared 28% to $5.57 after QADI reported Q3 EPS of $0.15, versus the analyst estimate of $0.02. Revenue for the quarter was $56.2 million, which compares to the estimate of $53.80 million.

JDS Uniphase Corporation (NASDAQ: JDSU) climbed 5 to $7.75 on 3.07 million shares after Analysts at Citi initiated coverage of JDSU Corp with a “buy” rating. The target price is set to $9.50.
