Fuqi International, Inc. (NASDAQ: FUQI) third-quarter net income increased to $18.8 million, or $0.73 per diluted share. Revenue rose to $127.2 million from $93.7 million last year. Fuqi International expects revenue for fiscal 2009 to be in between $519.4 - $528.4 million and net income to be in the range of $53.5-$54.9 million.

Ariad Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (NASDAQ: ARIA) soared 12.44% at $2.44 on huge volume of 1.35 million shares. On Friday, Ariad posted a third quarter loss of $20.8 million versus $20 million a year ago. Revenues increased from $1.5 million to $2.2 million. Analysts were expecting Ariad to report a loss of $0.18 a share on revenues of $2.6 million. Ariad Pharmaceuticals was also upgraded <> by JP Morgan to overweight at a price target of $6.

Rocky Brands, Inc. (Public, NASDAQ: RCKY) surged up 0.21% to $9.33 in the morning hours. Rocky Brands have gained around 130% so far this year.

STAAR Surgical Company (NASDAQ: STAA) climbed up 4.74% at $3.98. The stock gained over 100% so far this year.
