It has been a good day on Wall Street with the Dow Jones Industrial Average appreciating nearly 200 points during the first two and a half hours of trading. Leading the way are the TickerSpy's Bill Collector Stocks, which have moved 7.4% higher, Airline Stocks, up 4.6%, and TickerSpy's Copper Stocks. The copper complex has appreciated a very healthy 4.3%, after a significant sell off in the last month.
The Bill Collector index is being led by Encore Capital Group (NASDAQ: ECPG), which has surged nearly 17% on the day. This morning, Encore (ECPG) reported strong earnings.
All of the airline stocks are moving higher today. The number one performer is UAL Corporation (NASDAQ: UAUA), which is the parent company of United Airlines. Shares of UAL (UAUA) have rallied almost 15% today to $15.02.
Copper stocks have been hit very hard during the recent sell off, but the group is having a strong session today. Freeport-McMoran (NYSE: FCX) has climbed 4.4% to $72.23.
