Regional Banks Outperforming Today (KRE)

Regional Bank stocks are outperforming the broader market on Thursday in a strong tape. The SPDR KBW Regional Banking ETF (NYSE: KRE) has gained 1.36% to $25.37. Volume has been on the light side, however, with only 1.52 million KRE shares trading hands compared to a daily average volume of 2.57 million.

SPDR KBW Regional Banking ETF (the Fund) seeks to replicate as closely as possible the performance of the KBW Regional Banking Index (the Index). The Index is an equal weighted index that seeks to reflect the performance of publicly traded companies that do business as regional banks or thrifts.
