The markets are flat on the day, but three particular stocks have severely underperformed today, due to weak earnings, insider scandals and raising money. These are the three biggest losers on the NASDAQ today on a percentage basis, for stocks that have traded more than 100,000 shares.
Shares of FalconStor Software Inc. (NASDAQ: FALC) are getting hit hard, down more than 20% after its CEO resigned over improper payments to a vendor.
ReiJane Huai tendered his resignation after announcing that certain improper payments that were allegedly made in connection with the company's contract with one customer.
Shares of FalconStor are currently losing 92 cents to $3.14, more than 22%.
Shares of Apricus Biosciences, Inc (NASDAQ: APRI) are down 19% after the company sold 1.7 million units to raise $9.3 million.
Apricus Biosciences designs and develops pharmaceutical products based on its patented NexACT drug delivery technology.
Shares of ModusLink Global Solutions, Inc (NASDAQ: MLNK) are down nearly 15% after the company posted weak Q4 earnings, and said that uncertainty for it business is likely to continue.
At last check, shares were down $1.05 to $6.17, a loss of 14.5%.
