Boeing To Consolidate Military Aircraft Unit

Boeing Co (NYSE: BA) announced on Tuesday its plans to consolidate the Boeing military aircraft unit.

The consolidation of this business unit from six divisions to four is expected to result in layoffs, including a reduction of about 10% in executive positions. The consolidation is expected to take effect on October 1.

BA said in a statement, “Additional reductions across all levels of the organization are anticipated in coming months.”
