H&R Block Inc (NYSE: HRB) posted its FQ1 net loss at $0.41 per share, as compared to a loss of $0.40 per share, in the year-ago period. The company’s net loss from continuing operations came in at $0.36 per share. The company reported its revenue at $274.5 million. The analysts expected the company to post a loss of $0.41 per share on sales of $268.5 million. HRB’s shares jumped 7.48% to $13.51 in after-hours trading.
After yesterday's closing bell, Take-Two Interactive Software Inc (NASDAQ: TTWO) reported an unexpected profit for the FQ3 quarter driven by healthy demand for "Red Dead Redemption" and other video game titles. The company reported its net income of $0.07 per share, as compared with a net loss of $0.73 per share, in the year-ago period. TTWO’s shares surged 13.33% to $10.03 in pre-market trading.
Wall Street expects Campbell Soup (NYSE: CPB) to post its FQ4 EPS of $0.30. CPB’s shares gained 0.95% to close at $37.32 yesterday.
US Airways (NYSE: LCC) reported a 0.8% rise in its consolidated traffic in the month of August. The company’s consolidated traffic increased to 5.74 billion revenue passenger miles, up from 5.69 billion, in the year-ago period. The company’s President Scott Kirby said, "Our August consolidated (mainline and Express) passenger revenue per available seat mile increased approximately 15% versus the same period last year, while total revenue per available seat mile also increased approximately 15% on a year-over-year basis." LCC’s shares fell 0.10% to $9.64 in the after-hours trading session.
Analysts are expecting Xinhua Sports & Entertainment Limited (NASDAQ: XSEL) to post a loss of $0.03 per share for the latest quarter. XSEL’s shares lost 2.65% to close at $0.18 yesterday.
