After yesterday's closing bell, SAIC Inc (NYSE: SAI) posted its Q2 net income at $0.50 per share, up from $0.31 per share, in the year-ago quarter. The company’s earnings from continuing operations came in at $0.42 per share. The analysts expected the company to earn $0.33 per share. SAI’s shares rose 1.30% to $15.57 in the after-hours trading session.

Analysts are expecting H&R Block Inc (NYSE: HRB) to report a loss of $0.41 per share in the fiscal first quarter. HRB’s shares moved up 0.07% to $12.95 in after-hours trading.

Hovnanian Enterprises Inc (NYSE: HOV) reported its FQ3 loss at $0.92 per share, as compared with a loss of $2.61 per share, in the year-ago period. The company’s revenue dropped to $380.6 million, from $387.1 million, in the year-ago quarter. The analysts were expecting the company to post a loss of $0.47 per share on $396.1 million in revenue. HOV’s shares jumped 7.60% to close at $3.68 yesterday.

Hot Topic Inc (NASDAQ: HOTT) reported a 3.7% decline in its August same-store sales. However, the analysts expected a decline of 6.2% in the same period. The company’s total August sales moved down 2% y/y to $65.3 million. HOTT’s shares rose 0.38% to $5.29 in after-hours trading.
