Wall Street expects HJ Heinz Company (NYSE: HNZ) to report its earnings at $0.73 per share for the latest quarter. HNZ’s shares gained 0.29% to $46.38 in after-hours trading.
PerkinElmer Inc (NYSE: PKI) has announced to sell its illumination and detection solutions business to Veritas Capital Fund III for around $500 million in cash. PKI is now expecting Q3 earnings from continuing operations at $0.19 to $0.21 per share, as a result of the deal. PKI’s shares fell 0.05% to $21.00 in the after-hours trading session.
Analysts are expecting Collective Brands (NYSE: PSS) to have earned $0.45 per share in the second quarter. PSS’ shares moved up 0.03% to $12.93 in after-hours trading.
Hewlett-Packard (NYSE: HPQ) has announced that it has entered a "joint development agreement" with Hynix Semiconductor Inc associated to a new chip technology, known as memristor. HPQ said, "Memristors require less energy to operate, are faster than present solid-state storage technologies and can retain information even when power is off." HPQ’s shares rose 0.42% to $38.61 in the after-hours trading session.
SAIC Inc (NYSE: SAI) may post its Q2 profit at $0.33 per share. SAI’s shares gained 0.07% to $14.89 in after-hours trading.
