Differences Inside Fed On Bank Regulation

According to a report by the Wall Street Journal, there have been differences inside the Federal Reserve on the issue of bank regulation.
The Fed is already trying to fend off Congress, which is insisting on taking away Fed’s responsibility of regulating banks. The battle over regulation could have a huge impact on the future of the banking industry.
Ever since the financial crisis broke out, politicians, and regulators have been looking at different options to have a firmer oversight of banks, however, there is still very little consensus on the issue. The Federal Reserve had a decent record in supervising banks prior to the financial crisis.
