Yesterday the U.S. federal government picked lead book runners for the "re-IPO" of AIG (NYSE: AIG). The banks doing the lead bookrunning are Goldman Sachs (NYSE: GS), Deutsche Bank (NYSE: DB), J.P. Morgan (NYSE: JPM), and Bank of America (NYSE: BAC).
Yesterday the FCC voted 4-1 in favor of the deal for Comcast (NASDAQ: CMCSA) to purchase General Electric's (NYSE: GE) portion of NBC Universal.
The U.S. is going to choose "systemically important" firms this Spring. The decisions will be made by the U.S. Treasury.
