Alternative energy names should be on your watch list this morning as Senator Harry Reid is expected to bring the “Pickens Plan” to the floor today; the plan touts alternative energies, such as wind and natural gas.

While the bill is expected be met with opposition, if any positive support comes to light, names like Clean Energy Fuels Corp. (NASDAQ: CLNE), American Superconductor Corporation (NASDAQ: AMSC), A-Power Energy Generation Systems (NASDAQ: APWR), The First Trust ISE Global Wind Energy ETF (NYSE: FAN), and Fuel Systems Solutions, Inc. (NASDAQ: FSYS) could be on the move.
