would not exist. “If we had to buy servers and have an IT department and special rooms to deal with those servers, we probably would not have done what we did,” Matt Rizai, WebFilings' CEO, told Benzinga during a
recent interview
. “I think this also goes to many – hundreds and thousands of companies – that came up with an idea on a computer and a laptop and utilize cloud computing.” Rizai said that when you go into the financial side of cloud computing, businesses are beginning to realize that they can realign their resources. “Those costs that they're saving can be used for more business-related, productive, creative, avenues – as opposed to just maintaining a server farm,” he said. Going forward, Rizai believes that we are on the verge of a huge paradigm shift. “[Cloud computing] will revolutionize the way we use technology in the next 10 years,” he said, noting that when the Internet arrived in the early ‘90s, we had no idea what was upon us. “That's why I'm even more excited about the next 10 to 15 years from a technology point of view.” To hear more from WebFilings' CEO – including his strategies for success – don't miss Benzinga's
