Maverick Capital Has Positions In Oracle, Brocade, Marvell, And Apple (ORCL, BRCD, MRVL, AAPL)
Lee Ainslie's hedge fund Maverick Capital may offer up some ideas for technology investors looking for an edge. Among the tech names that Ainslie was holding in his long equity portfolio as of Q4 2009 are Oracle (NASDAQ: ORCL), Brocade (NASDAQ: BRCD), Marvell Technology (NASDAQ: MRVL) and Apple (NASDAQ: AAPL).
While Apple (AAPL), up over 16% in the last three months, and Oracle (ORCL), up 11.23% during the same time frame, have been performing very well recently, Marvell (MRVL) and Brocade (BRCD) have underperformed and may be compelling at current levels. Over the last three months, Marvell has gained 6.23% and Brocade has lost 24.5%. I think that both of these stocks are strong buys for longer term investors at current levels.
