The man, the legend, Steven Cohen was recently interviewed by Bloomberg in the Stamford office of SAC Capital. Bloomberg found a lot of interesting facts about what it is to work in their offices.

First off, when you walk into the offices you notice the temperature is kept at exactly 69 degrees. He chooses this temperature to keep his team alert. Also, he is known for yelling to individuals, "Do you even know how to do this f---ing job?" Although this may seem degrading, he is actually known for being very funny.

If you are looking to get a job with SAC Capital, you must realize the interview process generally takes 14 months with beyond extensive background checks. It would be worth the wait though as working there you will notice the office is filled with art from Vincent Van Gogh and Picasso.

As the hedge fund industry has been coming under competitive pricing pressures, you won't see Steven Cohen cutting his rates. He always wins. Hedge fund managers are lucky to get 20% of profits and a 2% management fee in the current market. What does SAC Capital net? They get 50% of profits and a 3% management fee. Investors are willing to pay it though because they are one of the best in the business!

The amazing thing is, SAC Capital is a $12 billion fund. Let's put that into perspective. It is basically just under the market cap of Alcoa, Inc. (NYSE: AA), FOUR times the market cap of American International Group, Inc (NYSE: AIG), or more than FIFTEEN times the market cap of Buffalo Wild Wings (NASDAQ: BWLD). That means there is a lot of money putting a lot of trust into the hands of Mr. Cohen.
