Guy Wysser-Pratte of Wysser-Pratte Asset Management is speaking at the Bloomberg 2010 Hedge Fund conference and he is saying that the stronger northern European countries will reach their limit of patience with the southern European countries, such as Portugal. The Euro has a concept without fiscal constraints, which means it is not a real currency. He believes at some point, the stronger economies will say so long to the weaker economies. There is no real corporate governance in any of the European countries, even Germany, which makes it a difficult area. This creates opportunities for Wysser-Pratte in industries like German industrial companies. He likes conglomerates in France like Michelin and Hermes.
