Research in Motion up 5% on Heavy Volume
Shares of Research in Motion (NASDAQ: RIMM) have added 5% on heavy volume during Friday's trading session. The stock has broken through the $14 level and could continue to add to its gains into the close. Volume is running slightly above the daily average. More than 20 million RIMM shares have already changed hands during the trading session.
The activity in the stock appears to be related to rumors that Samsung is looking to make a minority investment into the company and develop phones based on Research in Motion's new operating system, known as BBIO.
