Heads of four EU countries want the CDS market to be probed.
The heads of the four countries, which include France, Germany, Luxembourg, and Greece, want to open an inquiry to investigate the role played by trading of CDS on European government bonds in destabilizing some of the euro zone economies.
In a letter to Jose Manuel Barroso, the President of European Commission, the leaders have also called for greater transparency in derivatives trading.
