The six degrees of separation theory is a theory that each person in the world can be connected to every other person in the world in only six steps. The same theory could easily apply to the self-driving car industry. In fact, all the major players in autonomous driving can be connected in much fewer than six steps.

Alphabet Inc GOOG GOOGL and Ford Motor Company F have teamed with ridesharing startup Uber to tackle the regulatory hurdles that self-driving cars may face.
