These Brands Are Using Instagram Better Than Their Competitors

Instagram has turned the definition of the "photo album" on its head. No longer do people need to worry about dusty pictures or delicate negatives -- in a digital world, everything is captured all in one place.

That one place and its 300 million users is now worth about $35 billion.

Facebook Inc FB purchased Instagram in 2012 for $1 billion and has reaped the rewards.

Instagram photos actually used to show up in Twitter timelines. Now, only an empty link can be seen, while Facebook feeds are littered with selfies and coffee.

Facebook isn't the only company looking to capitalize on this. Well-established brands, celebrities and everyday-people-turned-celebrities have cashed in on Instagram’s popularity.

According to Socialbakers Analytics -- a Facebook Preferred Marketing Developer -- the average post engagement rate of the top 25 engaging brand profile is 3.3 percent on Instagram; for Twitter, the rate is 0.07 percent.

So, which brands are capitalizing on Instagram?
