#Trumpsopoor has been popping up around the twittersphere since Monday. The FEC monthly report came out recently, showing that Trump ended the month of May with a mere $1.3 million in his pocket versus Hillary Clinton’s $43 million.
Trump’s campaign report was filed late on Monday, not too long after Corey Lewandowski was dismissed as campaign manager.
Trump has prided himself on his approach to fundraising, opting to lend himself money versus panhandling like a common New York City vagabond. In the month of May, he raised just over $3 million, having lent himself $2 million of it, according to the campaign report.
Twitter TWTR users are posting everything from jabs at Trump’s tiny hands to receipts from his campaign that have “Trump” in the name. Trump Entertainment Resorts is even making an appearance on a graphic user @derekwillis posted.
In an interview with NBC News, Trump said, “I understand money better than anybody.”
