S&P 500 index futures were trading higher by three points at 2053.50 in Tuesday's session. The index has given back a majority of the accumulated gains from pre-market trading.
Off the open, the index ran into resistance ahead of the pre-market high (2069), only reaching 2067.50 before surrendering all of its gains and matching the pre-market low (2050.50).
A majority of the top 10 components in the index are in the green. Leading the way on the upside is
Apple Inc. AAPL, trading higher by $1.13 at $125.66.
Microsoft Corporation
MSFT was continuing its post-earnings slide and trading lower by $0.27 at $44.10. Earlier in the session, it reached its lowest level ($43.96) since peaking on April 30 at $49.54.
