New Reminder Service "Fetchnotes" Accepting Users
A new and innovative reminder service called Fetchnotes is now accepting users for its beta version. The service bills itself as "the notepad that organizes itself in the cloud." Once users register their mobile device with the site, they can send text notes, categorized using hashtags, which Fetchnotes will automatically organize and make available anytime on any device.
Fetchnotes' Facebook page, further describes the service: "Using our product, all you have to do is write your note, add a hashtag (the # symbol followed by a word), and we'll send it to wherever you want it to go. Notes with #todo are sent to a do list, and ones with #ideas are categorized with your other ideas — so there's no fighting to fit things into categories or folders."
The application began as a student-run venture at the University of Michigan and was co-founded by Alex Schiff. The service will likely appeal to people who are used to sending themselves voicemails or emails as general reminders about everyday events and obligations. Users who are interested in signing up for the beta version of Fetchnotes can do so here.
The service is only accepting a limited number of users for the beta version, so sign up right away. Fetchnotes already has 160 registered users in its system and more than 700 notes have already been taken using the application.
