ContraVir Pharmaceuticals Shares Making Moves On No News

Shares of ContraVir Pharmaceuticals Inc CTRV spiked to a high of $2.34 in early trading Tuesday. Although nearly twice the average daily volume of shares have been exchanged today, no one seems to know what's driving all the market interest in this issue.

That includes the company itself. When Benzinga contacted ContraVir, a spokesperson said the company announced no news and had no explanation for today's high trading volume.

ContraVir remained higher by 8.6 percent at $2.02 per share in late afternoon trading.
