Text to Help Option Makes Charitable History

MobileCause, a non-profit marketing and mobile company, made both technological and society history when it initiated a Text to Donate option for the Haiti Crisis Effort.

Creating this user friendly ability for the public, the company already specialized in assisting non-profits but made headlines when First Lady Michelle Obama made a public service announcement offering the texting option to the nation.

"Our mobile donation solution makes giving to charities seamless and easy so charitable organizations can get the money they need to make a difference,” said MobileCause CEO Douglas Plank. “By empowering people with the ability to quickly and effortlessly donate from the palm of their hand in just seconds, everyone can now play an active role in helping to make a difference for the people of Haiti.”

This objective also showed how corporations and organizations can join for one effort. MobileCause is currently partnering with many charitable organizations for Haiti. Text the word “Haiti” to 85944 to donate $10 on behalf of the International Medical Corps.
