TD Ameritrade Holding Corp. Falls Short Thanks to Lousy End to Last Year

Despite falling short of Wall Street’s estimates, TD Ameritrade Holding Corp's (NASDAQ: AMTD) shares are up 4.3% today. The second-biggest discount broker saw earnings decline by 26%, on a 2.3% increase in revenue.

Representatives of TD Ameritrade Holding Corp. said trading activity ground to a halt in November and December, though it has resumed normal levels so far this year.
