Johnson & Johnson Recalls

Johnson and Johnson (NYSE: JNJ) recalls everything from Tylenol to Motrin and Benadryl after numerous customer complaints and pressure from the Food and Drug Administration.

Specific complaints revolved around a musty or moldy odor that lead to nausea, vomiting, and other stomach issues in some consumers. The cause of the odor is due to a chemical called tribromoanisole and likely has to do with transportation and storing of the products.

However, the contamination is rumored to have been noted in 2008, but the recall is just now taking place.

Investigation is still underway to eliminate the problem in future productions. The exact health effects of the contamination is not yet specified.
