HB Fuller Co (FUL) To Release 4Q09 Earnings Tuesday
January 11, 2010 4:39 PM
Specialty chemical producer HB Fuller Co.(NYSE: FUL) is expected to release earnings for the fourth quarter of 2009. Consensus estimates place the EPS at $0.42, which would be a gain of 0.0 over the current EPS of $0.35. The company also surpassed EPS estimates for 3Q09 last year.
Three quick points to consider:
1. The company's stock value has soared from a 52-week low of 9.70, way back in March. It also has a solid PEG ratio.
2. HB Fuller is killing its peers in its industry group. Two of its main competitiors, Sensient Technologies (NYSE: SXT) and OM Group, Inc. (NYSE: OMG), have reported negative quarter-over-quarter EPS. HB Fuller also beats the industry averages in P/E, revenues per share, profit margin, and PEG.
3. Earnings may very well beat the estimates, which is always good.
The consensus today from the Analysts That Be is to hold FUL. I think that wouldn't be a bad idea, but if you want to dip your toe in the water and take on some shares before the earnings report, I don't think FUL's value is going to drop like a rock.
