California Airport Shuts Down: Cause? Honey

An airport in California was temporarily shut down after bottles of honey in a passenger's checked baggage tested positive for explosives. Furthermore, two security officers even reported feeling ill after being exposed to the honey.

Investigators are trying to determine if something in the honey set off the security alarm or if it was an overall malfunction.

Francisco Ramirez, 31, is the Milwaukee gardener that had the five soft drink bottles of honey in his checked luggage. He was leaving Bakersfield, California after visiting his sister for Christmas.

Investigations will continue throughout the next few days.
