China, the world's biggest country by population, may report a trade deficit for March, marking the first time the country has shown a trade deficit since 2004. Soaring imports are helping reduce China's normally robust trade surplus.

Even a single month of a trade deficit is likely to weaken efforts to coarse China to allowing the Yuan to float freely. Chinese officials have said it is "ironic" the U.S. continues to want the Yuan to appreciate as China's trade surplus is dwindling.
