Wedding Gift Advice

It's that time of year again--wedding season! As you receive each wedding invitation, complete with registry information, you are likely to fret about spending more money in such a tight economy.
Here are some things to remember when purchasing a wedding gift this year:
1.) Stay within your budget!
Although it is important to ensure the gift you purchase will meet the needs and style of the soon to be married couple, never try to compete with other attendees.
2.) Search the registry for affordable items!
Although many wedding registries are filled with expensive kitchenware and even televisions, keep a look out for more affordable gifts. It is much cheaper to create a cute basket full of inexpensive items, like pot holders and towels, than it is to splurge on top of the line appliances.
3.) Think outside the registry!
Although many couples add items to the registry that they need, do not feel obligated to stick to this list. Instead, be crafty and creative. If your gift is thoughtful and meaningful, you are on the right track! Honestly, most couples will remember a thoughtful gift much more than items merely purchased from their registry.
Remember when receiving the wedding invitation and registry information that there is no need to stress. Instead, utilize the advice above and stay within your budget. Enjoy the wedding!
