Innovation In Style At Game Developers Conference (SNE)

Video game heavy hitters Sony (NYSE: SNE) and Nintendo unveiled the latest in video game technology at the annual Game Developers Conference this weekend.
One of the main attractions at the conference was the PlayStation Move, a motion-sensory input device very similar to the mechanism used by Nintendo's wildly popular Wii. The presentation was also accompanied by several top-shelf game titles that take full advantage of the new technology.
Of course, even this development was overshadowed by the discussion centered on the new wave of social gaming represented by "Farmville", "Mafia Wars", and other titles available via applications like Facebook. The push to develop and exploit this new market promises a new field of competition in the industry.
