The Southeast Asian city-state Singapore expects to increase its visitors by nearly 30% this year.

Last year there were 9.7 million visitors with anticipation that this year between 11.5 million and 12.5 million visitors will make their way to Singapore.

Why the sudden increase? Singapore has two new casino resorts that they anticipate will increase its appeal and attract visitors from around the world.

Those in Singapore hope these casinos will spur economic growth that is much needed. Furthermore, the Universal Studios in the area will also be open starting March 18th.
