Sean Penn saved a woman and an orphan child during a rescue mission on Thursday in Haiti. The victims were caught in the rubble of a building that had collapsed.
Sean and his daughter Dylan drove for one and a half hours to rescue the two victims trapped in the rubble outside the capital, Port Au Prince. The incident came in the wake of aftershocks to the Jan 12 earthquake that shook Haiti, and killed thousands of people.
Sean helped in removing the woman and the child from the rubble. The woman suffered leg injuries, while the child suffered head injuries. The actor then drove them to the University of Miami hospital camp in Port-au-Prince.
Sean is running the Jenkins-Penn Haitian Relief Organization in Haiti.
