PayPal’s Personal Payment Transactions To And From India Blocked (EBAY)

PayPal, eBay, Inc.’s (NASDAQ: EBAY) electronic payment site has apparently halted personal payment transactions to and from India. The website is still allowing commercial transactions to and from India.

The users of PayPal for personal payment transactions in India are receiving a standard notification email. The email says that payment has been sent back as the site has halted personal payments to and from and India, and it is trying to resolve the issue.

Anuj Nayar, Director of Global Communications at PayPal has stated that the personal payments to and from India have been suspended as the company is addressing some questions from its business partners. Nayar also mentioned that the commercial payment transactions have not been affected so far.
