ETF Turnover Declines To $57.7 Billion

Turnover for U.S.-listed ETFs declined 4.2% to $57.7 billion for the week ending December 14. Turnover in the S&P 500 SPDR (NYSE: SPY) was $18 billion. The iShares Russell 2000 Index (NYSE: IWM) saw turnover of $3.7 billion as did the PowerShares QQQ (Nasdaq: QQQQ).

A couple of emerging markets ETFs saw brisk turnover, including the iShares MSCI Brazil Index at $1.26 billion and the iShares FTSE/Xinhua China 25 Index (NYSE: FXI) had turnover of $854 million.
