SPDR S&P 500 ETF (NYSE: SPY) had the biggest volume among ETFs today, with 95.85M shares traded. Its average volume is 228.87M, and SPY gained 0.06% on Monday.

iShares MSCI Emerging Markets Index (ETF) (NYSE: EEM) followed with 47.60M traded shares, which is approximately half of its average volume. EEM added 0.07% in today's trading session.

PowerShares QQQ Trust, Series 1 (ETF) (NASDAQ: QQQQ) had a volume of 47.48M shares, and it gained 0.19% today. QQQQ seeks to replicate NASDAQ-100 Index.

iShares Russell 2000 Index (ETF) (NYSE: IWM) gained 0.18% as Russell 2000 closed slightly up. IWM had a volume of 42.46M shares today.

Financial Select Sector SPDR (ETF) (NYSE: XLF) is another ETF that had much lower than usual volume. XLF had a volume of 44.30M traded shares and it closed 0.20% up.
